About
Built in 1964 and filled in 1965 for flood control purposes. Lake Monroe is Indiana’s largest body of water spanning 10,750 acres at full pool (538 feet). The lake reaches a max depth of 59 feet.
Although the lake can be tough to fish at times it is one of the best spots in the state to catch not only your personal best Largemouth but also Spotted and Smallmouth bass! Every big bass award from the 2021 season was 21” plus!
Monroe offers a variety of ways to fish to fit anyone's style of fishing, from muddy shallow water too deep clear water.
